ASIMO needs to see the other humans from a further distance so he doesn’t have to stop and do a 90 degree turn. if ASIMO were to detect a human from 10 meters and IMMEDIATELY start altering its course slightly so that it doesn’t have to stop the other human. Obviously it would still need to be able to see other humans coming too.
